My name is Adam Lapsevich. I’m a fun-loving guy that loves to cook and entertain, to name a few. I’m a runner, typically 5 miles a day, at least 4 days per week. I’ve been a swimmer since I was 4 years old.

Together with my partner, we live in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, in an old home that we refurbished. We are the proud parents of two super spoiled and pampered Pomeranians, Rusty and Petula.

I’m a two-time heart attack survivor and had quadruple bypass surgery in 2018. It runs in my family so to keep fit I eat right, run, swim, and lift weights. I’m a total fan of Weight Watchers, or “WW” as they are now called.

I spent nearly 20 years in the cruise industry. I worked as an entertainer onboard ships back in the early 1990s, and have sailed on over 200 departures, visiting over 50 countries. I moved into outside sales and called on travel agencies and tour companies for the next 15 years.

In 2006, I started my own design firm, SpoonDrawer Media. We specialize in websites for the tourism industry, as well as other small businesses.

My partner and I love to entertain and belong to several “foodie groups” where we get together with friends for memorable dinner parties.

Believe it or not but I cook to relax. My mother started teaching me the basics when I was about 8 years old! I worked my way through college waiting tables in both Nashville and Washington D.C. I lived in Miami for a few years as well when I first started working in the cruise industry.

Between those 3 cities, I’ve learned a lot about international cuisine and culture. I’m a huge fan of ethnic foods and grateful to live in the Cleveland area now, home to not only the best heart hospital in the world, the Cleveland Clinic, but to the world renown West Side Market, a historic food market that caters to nearly every type of ethnic food you can think of. It’s a food-lovers dream!

Thanks for taking time to read this! I hope you enjoy the site. Feel free to share your recipes with me as well. Send me your best recipes and a photo using this form! Who knows, if I make it right it, I just might add it to the site, and give you credit of course!

We Love to Entertain

We live in a pretty awesome neighborhood, where neighbors are friends. Whether we’re throwing a Holiday party, a pool party, a backyard BBQ, or a get together for no particular reason (“hey, it’s Wednesday – let’s do dinner!”), people love to come to our place for the food and fun.

Meet Petula and Butchie

We’re all about dog rescue. Over the years, we’ve given 8 loving dogs the opportunity to have beautiful lives. Some we adopted older and some were still young. Some had medical conditions. Today we’re the proud dads of 2 adorable Pomeranians, Butchie and Petula, (who was named after Petula Clark, AND, actually got to meet her!)

Petula is a 5-year-old, cream-colored therapy dog. We volunteer with her at our local children’s hospital. She has a very short coat due to alopecia. Butchie is a black pom with a white stripe on this chest. He is just about to turn 1. He’s made himself quite comfortable in his new home, and both of them have become quite smitten with each other!

Both of our kids are total people lovers and are incredible, gentle little munchkins.
